What I've been up to...the weekend.

So firstly on Friday I had my big job interview. It consisted of 5 questions and then a 15 minute presentation of my monthly plan for the fictitious team stats we were given. Most of the questions revolved around leadership, my understanding of the management role and the usual 'what will you bring to the role' type questions. The other people I spoke to who had the interview said they were asked a lot of questions within them answering the questions. I myself wasn't asked much other than the original questions. I am guessing that is a good sign, as I must have given full answers, and they didn't need to prompt me. I am hoping to find out if I get the job late this week.

Later that evening Tony and I went a double datin' with Maggie and Matt. We went to go see a play called 'I love you, your perfect, now change'. It was all about couples and relationships. Right from young relationships, to marriage, to when your husband/wife has passed away from old age. We all enjoyed it a lot, but the best part for me would have been when Maggie asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. I am just really honoured that she wants me as part of her wedding party and can't wait to be involved.

Saturday was an exhausting day. Normally Saturdays at work consist of being really busy in the morning then dead quiet in the arvo. The lack of calls in the afternoon is what makes my 10 hour day bearable. However, this Saturday it just didn't stop all day!

I haven't been sleeping too well the last week and on Sat was already really tired. So by the time I got home from work I was actually feeling ill and crawled into bed (still fully clothed) as soon as i got in the door. So I slept from about 5.30 till I woke up at 9.30 feeling really hungry. I had some dinner, then went back to bed to sleep till about 8 the next morning, at which point I felt a million times better.

Sunday was a busy day. It consisted of breakfast with my family at Harvest restaurant in North Freo. My cousin Wes who was staying with my Mum and Dad was leaving that arvo to go back to Melbourne so it was a final goodbye breakfast. After that Tony and I came home, cleaned up our house, made some salad and chocolate dipped strawberries and went to Alex's birthday bash.

Renee had a gorgeous idea of planting trees in the little park behind her house as a way to celebrate the day. So we all pitched in and planted various lovely native plants. I wish I could go forward in time by 10 years and see what it looks like. Matt via Hoops got some sort of tree that is supposed to grow from the seedling to a 50M tall tree in 10 years. That will be amazing to see!! So anyway the day was lovely, we had some great food, and as always interesting conversation. Tony and I left about 5-ish with Aaron so I had time to get ready for my date with Maggie.

So Maggie and I have been talking for ages now about going out to dinner together somewhere flash. We thought it would be nice to have an opportunity to get all frocked up and go out on the town. So last night we went along to the bridges restaurant in North Fremantle. We had cocktails and a yummy dinner. I had squid and Maggie has porter house steak. We spent a really pleasant evening talking and catching up. At the end of the evening we even went and had a look at their function room as a possible idea for a wedding reception. Maggie seemed quite impressed as did Matt when he came to pick us up.

So it's been a busy few days, and today I am racking up some well earned couch time. Tony has just finished downloading a whole season of Simpsons that I haven't seen before. Yay!!
