Climbing

So tonight I went climbing with Mark Weatherill. It's something I've been wanting to do again for years, but haven't gotten around to doing until now.

I was super lucky in that Emma had a pair of climbing shoes that were too big, and which fit me! Being the fabulously generous soul she is she gave them too me!

So we went to the place in Bayswater, and spent about 2 hours doing various climbs. It was incredible watching Mark make his way up the wall on what seemed to be the tiniest of holds. I myself started on a 12, then 13 and 14 all of which were pretty easy. Then I tried a 15 which was fine until it got to the section with an over hang. I just couldn't get past that bit. Then I tried a 16 which was pretty straight but I had no strength left to do it. I really knew my strength was gone when I did the previous 14 again and could only make it half way.

But all in all it was great fun and I really hope to be able to do it again. I think the trick here is to find a climbing partner. If anyone is keen let me know.

Thanks again Mark!! :)

I was doing 17s at my peak, so you should be really happy with that.

Yeah, not bad for starters I guess. Looks like Aaron and I are going to make in a regular Wed night thing. Should be wicked fun. Will be nice to be doing something that strengthens my upper body.
It will be really good fitness for my massages too! If I get strongs arms I can inflict 3 times as much pain!! Mwah hahaha
