Zesty
Yesterday I joined Zest Health club which is just up the road from me. A pretty decent running distance actually. I think it would only take me about 15-20 minutes to run there, so a good warm up to whatever I am going to need to do.
I just a call from my 'personal trainer' Dane. He sounds hot! So that's a little bit intimidating right there. We talked about my goals, where my fitness is at the moment etc. So the aim is to lose about 10Kg in the next 2-3 months. If I can lose 15Kg all together that would be even better.
I think the good thing will be learning the most effective ways to exercise. I wonder if some times what I a doing although good for me perhaps isn't the most effective use of my time. I've been running about 4 times a week now, but I'm sure I could be doing better with that time, or doing things that challenge me more and give me a bit more of a push.
The other cool thing is I was given a few 'free pass' type things for friends. So the wicked thing about that is that next time Emma and I can't run due to rain we can go to my gym! We can use the treadmills, swim, use the sauna, take a RPM class, whatever! Woo hoo!
Oh and if anyone gets a call from Zest I do apologise, I had to put down a few names and numbers to get the passes. I figure you can just hang up on them, or delete any voicemail they might leave. Alternatively, I can give you one of my free passes to make up for it and you can come to the gym with me!

If I didn't like running in the rain and having the freedom to do my weights at home (which I haven't done for two months now :(.. ) I'd definitely consider the Zest near me.
Get some gloves for the weights, even if they are some light weight ones. Again I reccomend Nike. I bought medium York ones for higher weight work but still like the light ones better :) They're kind of like bike gloves.
Hope you enjoy the g-eye-m
It will just be nice for some variety, they do lots of aerobics type things, and a yoga type one. Also I'll enjoy the pool, spa and sauna.
Em and I jst got rained on in our run, it was very nice actually...not too heavy!
Mmm, a nice misty rain. Refreshing, but not to dampening. And we need to come up with a spelling for 'g-eye-m', so the pronunciation can be conveyed with text :) Aaron's suggestion isn't bad, but a bit long-winded. I suggest 'gyme'. :) :)
i second that suggestion.
