Last night we went to see Tecoma at Kulcha in Fremantle. Every time I see these sorts of female performers I am over come with an overwhelming urge to learn guitar, write a song and start to sing.
Unfortunately I know I have very little musical talent. I can hold a tune, but have no great strength to my voice, let alone a particularly interesting voice to listen to. I used to sing a lot when I was in High school, but those days are long gone. Now only the walls of my car get to hear me sing, which probably is for the best!
I guess I'll just have to keep living vicariously through others, and go to more concerts.

I'd say get a guitar and give it a go. There are heaps of places on the internet to get a helping hand, but as always finding someone that can play and is willing to teach you a bit from time to time is 10x as effective.
I haven't picked up my guitar in six months, but it was definitely one of the cheapest and most rewarding hobbies I had for a while there :)
